Andrea Dansby Photography
Saturday April 14th, I had a chance to make an appearance as Mikette at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ for the Grand Re-opening. There was a cool photographer there, Andrea Dansby of L.I.T Models, who took photos of me. Here are some of her shots of me during that day. There are more to add and once I receive them I will do another post.

Michael Jackson Wore A Striped Shirt
I decided to remake the photo of Michael Jackson wearing a appealing striped shirt. It came as a cool resemblance of a shirt I own. Not sure of the name brand of his shirt but my shirt is from The Limited. I also was able to obtain a black scarf to wear around my neck and had an umbrella with me as well.

Michael Jackson 1979 Photo Shoot Remake
I decided to remake a cool photo of Michael Jackson from 1979.
I thrifted a gold shiny shirt that comes down to the elbows rolled up. I'm not too sure what color he is wearing because the photograph is in black and white. The style of the shirt was so close I had to do this shot. Of course you know I couldn't be bare so I did wear a light colored sports bra underneath. I wore blue jeans as well. Then I converted the photo to black and white before cross coloring it. I just love how he looks in this photo. He also made a simple but cool fashion statement.

Lorena Turner Photo Shoot
On Sunday December 11, 2011, I had the honor of being photographed by New York and Los Angeles based photographer, Lorena Turner in her New York City studio. Lorena Turner is known for her exhibits which features Michael Jackson impersonators and tribute artists, called "The Michael Jacksons." She is very talented and brings out their inner Michael Jackson. So I was definitely excited and eager to work with her.

Plus it was my first Michael Jackson related photo shoot as well. I also invited two other impersonators/tribute artists to join me, Lamar "MJ" Coleman and MJsRaven, both of which are from New Jersy like me. We were also joined by Lorena's adorable son during the shoot. That day my true Dominique "Mikette" Wilson came out full swing. I can't wait to work with her again. Thank you so much, Lorena!

Hope you all enjoy my photos!

Michael Jackson Tribute on ANTM All-Stars
We all know that Tyra Banks is a very close friend to the Jackson family and Michael Jackson. She was also featured in the morphing segment at the end of the "Black or White" video. So I can only imagine her reaction to Michael's death back in 2009. So weird how I always wanted to see this type of photo shoot done on America's Next Top Model. I really want to give snaps and claps for such a beautiful turn out. LaToya Jackson came as guidance and as a guest judge to help the girls nail Michael's persona in various eras of his amazing career. The outfits were from Michael Jackson's stylist Rushka Bergman's "The King of Pop" Costume Exhibition. Most of them did an amazing job, while others of course fell flat. As an MJ Tribute Artist, it is hard to fill his shoes and you can only come but so close. Plus they also had to make it fashionable. You can tell the girls who really did follow Michael, because they really represented him well. I really enjoyed this episode and so glad that nobody was eliminated because LaToya said they did their best to represent her brother, which is definitely not easy. I would love to share my favorites from the evening in my opinion. What do you think?
