12/20/10
All it took was $10 and a dream. I am such a huge Michael Jackson fan and the raffle was originally planned for last year. The non profit organization, Black Cotton Foundation, that held the event did not get enough sells of raffle tickets which caused them to postpone yet add more items to the basket. This gave me a second chance at it. So when I heard they were doing it, I had to jump on it. So my boyfriend and I purchased a ticket each. I kept my fingers crossed until they got sore lol. Then something else came up when they had to push the date back from Nov. 20th to Dec, 19th. That second date kind of through me off because I was low on cash and had no idea on how to get there. It was also a colder day and the train schedule is the worse on Sundays. So I did not attend. I sat home worried that if they did pick my name and I was not present would they raffle it off again. So after watching the Giants get defeated against the Phil. Eagles I became sadder. Then at 7:32 p.m. I received a phone call from my brother and he passed the phone to someone else. Not realizing I was on speaker, the crowd scared me when they yelled out "You won!" I screamed and jumped for joy. I just couldn't believe what I had heard. I love every item in the basket from the cds to the dolls. Thank you to the random person who pulled my ticket and Black Cotton Foundation. Here are a few photos I would love to share.

Halloween 2010
10/31/10
OMG! I had a blast as Michael Jackson this year. I love the energy I feel when people see my and are amazed at what they see. All people from young and old yelled out "Michael!" to me and some even said "Michael, we love you!" I felt Michael's spirit in me as I did some dance moves to get candy since I wasn't a young kid that look too cute lol. I had to still earn some of my candy which I acquired with no problem. Also that day, my boyfriend carried a pet-sized alligator puppet around with him being that he didn't have a costume. Boy, did he scare so many people. We had so much fun. I think next time I will bring my camera to take photos and video footage lol. But either way it was still a memorable day.

Below are photos of me, my sis as Princess Leia, her fiance as Darth Vadar, my mom, and the puppet that could frighten the most gangsta men out there. Enjoy!
Me as MJ with the Children
10/29/10
I went to my sister's school and helped her with her class. Today was their Halloween Parade where the walk around the outside of the school showing off their costumes. So I decided to dress as Michael Jackson again for Halloween this year. The looks on the children's faces and reactions were so priceless. I just had a good day with the children and their love for MJ was amazing like his spirit just jumped in each of their bodies, especially when this girl randomly started doing the "Thriller" dance moves when she saw me. Another child looked at me and said "I wish the real Michael was here so he can dance" and it brought a tear to my eye :) These children were no more than seven years-old. Michael has that touch even young children in that generation want him back. It amazed me how Michael Jackson was known in their hearts at such a young age. I started my love for MJ at a very young age as well, but he was so much more popular then. It was amazing and I gave my sister's class a private concert during their music class on stage as the teacher played "Billie Jean" on the piano. When the children came back upstair, they showered me with such beautiful compliments. Not only were the children reacting that way but other teachers, parents and admin were also feeling the love of MJ I was releasing. It was just a beautiful day and I would love to experience that nirvana again. :-)

Michael Jackson for a Day :-)
One year later...Michael Jackson's Death
6/25/10
It has been a pretty easy going day. Maybe it's because of all the Michael Jackson tunes on the work radio all day. It could be because I had on a cool homemade Michael Jackson t-shirt on today or the videos on television when I got home. Michael Jackson has been gone a whole year today and tributes are happening as I type. It's still unbelievable when you think about and when you see him doing his moves in videos and live concert footage. Then you think about him as the little Michael from the Jackson 5 crooning soul tunes that can make anyone believe in love. It's still hard to believe the fact that he was preparing for a 50 concert tour "This Is It" before passing. It just still feels weird.
But I will never forget the love Michael had for his music, family. friends, fans, and the environment.
Yesterday I put together this cool photo. I'm both people in the photo and it was edited together. It is my personal tribute to the late "King of Pop."
